The Batik Reserve Dyeing Workshop, conducted by Rakele Tondini, is an immersive experience that brings you closer to one of the oldest and most fascinating textile arts.
Originally from Indonesia, the Batik It is a technique that makes it possible to obtain decorated fabrics through Pose of the wax and subsequent coloring phases, creating eccentric, refined and always different patterns.
During the workshop, participants will follow all the phases of the process:
- Introduction to the history and technique of batik.
- Design of the decorative pattern on paper and fabric, inspired by a personal idea.
- Use wax as a protective barrier.
- Fabric coloring and drying.
- Removing the wax and revealing the final design.
- No prerequisites are required: the course is open to everyone.
- It combines tradition, creativity and craftsmanship in a single experience.
- All materials are supplied by Arts 21 and included in the cost.
- Small groups (3—8 people) to ensure personalized learning.
- Duration: 1 3-hour lesson.
- Course start: on request, with one week's notice.
