Creative weaving techniques and artistic applications
🧶 The Experience: A journey into twentieth-century textile art with Rakele Tondini, where fabric transcends practical function to become pure artistic expression.
✨ What will you do: You will combine manual weaving, decorations and material overlays to create a unique “textured fabric”, to be transformed into a personal fashion accessory or detail.
📅 Details: 3-hour creative workshop in Italian or English, suitable for everyone and with materials provided by Arti 21.
The Fiber Art Workshop, conducted by Rakele Tondini, takes you to discover an artistic current born in the twentieth century, which revolutionized the way of conceiving fabric, transforming it into a real artistic language.
During the laboratory, students will learn to combine manual weaving techniques, decoration, superposition and application of materials, creating a unique woven fabric, inspired by your own project or piece of clothing.
The artifact created may become a detail, an accessory or an application on a garment, demonstrating how Fiber Art is an art in motion, capable of combining functionality and aesthetics.
The workshop also includes a historical overview of the artists who have made this movement famous, from William Morris And the Silver Studio, to Mariano Fortuny and Sonia Delaunay, who have made fabric a field of artistic experimentation.
