Enter the Master Artisan's workshop Ilaria Innocenti in Prato for a fascinating journey into the world of millinery. This practical workshop will allow you to discover how a high-quality handmade hat is created, starting from the raw felt to the finished object.
Using traditional methods and ancient tools, you will learn how to model felt on the appropriate forms of wood. You can choose to make one of the two iconic headwear models: the classic masculine type “Borsalino” (fedora) or the refined and elegant Cloche.
The experience includes shaping, drying and the fundamental phase of finishing and decorating, to make your hat unique. Since this is a custom-made work, it will be essential to send the circumference of your head in advance to allow the craftswoman to prepare the correct wooden shape.
